What happens in “Are You the King of Humans”?
The Jeju Island story shifts from the raid’s threat to Jinwoo’s direct involvement. He arrives to assist the S-rank hunters, and the Ant King becomes the central adversary named in the episode synopsis. The title frames their encounter as a challenge to Jinwoo’s standing among the humans present.
Spoilers: The episode’s defining event is the confrontation between Jinwoo and the Ant King. The available official synopsis establishes that they face one another, but does not provide enough detail to responsibly describe the fight’s outcome or its later consequences.

Why Jeju Island matters to Jinwoo’s story
In the series’ world, gates connect the human world to another dimension, and hunters enter dungeon raids to fight monsters. Jinwoo began as a low-ranked hunter, but his unique ability to level up lets him grow outside the ordinary rules governing hunters. Season 2 also follows his role as the Shadow Monarch and his search for materials for the Elixir of Life.
That context makes the Jeju raid more than a standalone monster encounter: it tests a hunter whose strength has changed dramatically since the start of the story. For official season context and the series’ Japanese distribution information, see Aniplex’s season guide.
Why numbering can be confusing
Streaming services may number episodes within a season, while official guides may number story entries across the series. Aniplex’s season-two guide begins its numbered entries at 13, so its numbering does not match the season-relative “Episode 12” label used in the episode listing. Check both the season and title when searching; otherwise, “episode 12” can point to the wrong installment.
Where to check availability
Catalogs, languages, and release options vary by country and change over time. Aniplex’s Japanese distribution schedule is not a guarantee of current availability elsewhere, and a platform listing alone may not establish that the episode is currently watchable in your region. Check the service available in your country for the season, subtitle or dub options, and whether access requires a subscription or an episode purchase.
