Disney’s 2025 Snow White was reported at 45% on Rotten Tomatoes from 87 critic reviews on March 20, 2025. That is an early-review snapshot, not a verified score at the exact moment the first review appeared. The score later moved: the Associated Press reported 43% on March 23, while Rotten Tomatoes’ page checked October 8, 2026, displayed 39% from 277 critic reviews.
What was Snow White’s debut Rotten Tomatoes score?
A March 20, 2025 report put Snow White at 45% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 87 critic reviews. The report does not establish the score at the precise instant the first review was published, so 45% is best described as an early-review figure rather than an exact first-review score. MickeyBlog reported the 45% figure.
The percentage changed as more reviews were counted. On March 23, the Associated Press reported a 43% critics score. The AP release-week report also noted the film’s $43 million opening in ticket sales, according to studio estimates; that box-office figure does not explain the reviews.
On October 8, 2026, Rotten Tomatoes’ film page showed a 39% Tomatometer from 277 critic reviews and a separate 69% Popcornmeter from more than 2,500 verified audience ratings. These are dated, changing snapshots, not permanent results. Rotten Tomatoes’ Snow White page is the source for the live figures.

The table compares current Rotten Tomatoes scores checked October 8, 2026. It is a selected set of recognizable Disney remakes, not a complete ranking of every adaptation. The historical 45% and 43% figures above are from March 2025, so they should not be treated as same-date comparisons with these current pages.

What the critic and audience scores mean
The Tomatometer is the proportion of counted critic reviews that Rotten Tomatoes classifies as positive; it is not an average star rating and does not indicate how strongly critics liked or disliked a film. A 39% score therefore does not mean every critic disliked Snow White.

The Popcornmeter is a distinct audience measure. Its 69% figure should not be combined with, averaged against, or substituted for the critics’ 39%. The two meters reflect different groups and rating measures.
Rotten Tomatoes’ current Critics Consensus describes the film as “hardly a grumpy time at the movies” because of Rachel Zegler’s lead performance, while also faulting its treatment of the source material and stylistic choices. The full consensus is on the film’s Rotten Tomatoes page.
