The “3-ingredient Snoop Dogg recipe” is Billionaire’s Bacon: thick-cut bacon coated with brown sugar, cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes, then baked. The recipe is attributed to Snoop Dogg’s first cookbook, From Crook to Cook, in a 2024 AOL-hosted article by Coco Morante, credited to Simply Recipes.
What are the three ingredients?
For the cookbook quantities reported by Coco Morante, prepare eight slices of thick-cut bacon and mix together:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
The brown sugar melts into a sweet coating, while black pepper and red pepper flakes bring the heat. These measurements are the topping for eight slices; the bacon is the base ingredient.
How to make Billionaire’s Bacon
- Heat the oven: Set it to 400°F.
- Prepare the pan: Line a baking sheet with foil and set an oven-safe wire rack on top.
- Mix the topping: Stir together the brown sugar, cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes.
- Coat the bacon: Arrange the thick-cut slices on the rack and sprinkle the mixture over them.
- Bake: Place the pan in the top third of the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. The cookbook timing and temperature are reported by Morante; check the bacon as it cooks and use your preferred doneness as the guide.
- Transfer carefully: Let the bacon cool for a few minutes, then use tongs to move it. The melted sugar is extremely hot.
Adjusting the batch and doneness
Morante says she often makes about 10 slices because that is what fits her baking sheet, and adjusts the topping accordingly. That is her household adaptation, not the cookbook’s eight-slice quantity. She also adds a few minutes when her family wants well-done bacon; the reported 25-to-30-minute bake is not a guarantee of identical results in every oven.

Why it suits a holiday breakfast
The sweet-and-spicy coating makes bacon feel a little more special without requiring a complicated preparation. Morante frames it as a Christmas-morning dish and imagines Snoop teasing children who find the spice too much: “You wouldn’t like it, it’s too spicy. Have some of Grandma’s bacon instead!” That is her imagined holiday dialogue, not a separately verified quotation from the cookbook.
Cleanup after baking
Sugar can stick to the wire rack as it cools. Morante recommends soaking the rack in hot, soapy water to loosen the residue. Handle the pan and bacon with care while the coating is hot.
