The “slam” was a comic premise, not a report of a real dispute. Lily Allen was the musical guest, and Marcello Hernández brought a separate holiday story about his family.
What was the Stranger Things Weekend Update song about?
Wickline’s musical feature treated the Stranger Things cast’s now-grown child actors as if they posed a danger to humanity. The joke played on the contrast between the performers viewers remember as children and their adult selves. Peacock’s official episode recap called the feature a highlight; the Los Angeles Times also described the song as targeting the show’s grown-up child actors in its recap.
Those descriptions establish the premise, not a complete transcript. The available recaps do not provide the song word for word, so its lyrics should not be reconstructed from summaries.
What else happened on Weekend Update?
Marcello Hernández’s holiday family story
Hernández shared a holiday-themed bit about his family, including a take on Home Alone. The Los Angeles Times recap also describes impressions of his father calling him as Santa Claus, Spider-Man, and his boss, Lorne Michaels.
