In July 2024, Skye Wheatley announced that she planned to travel to Turkey for cosmetic surgery she called a “fox eye lift,” and said she expected some fans to judge her. By September, PerthNow reported that she was at a Turkish clinic before surgery. The announcement is historical; it does not establish any current travel plans.
What Wheatley announced in July 2024
PerthNow reported on 16 July 2024 that Wheatley had posted the day before about going to Turkey for the procedure. She said, “I booked in with a really good doctor… I am getting the fox eye lift.” She described the result she wanted as modest: “I want the smallest little lift I don’t want to look crazy.” PerthNow’s 16 July report covered both her plans and her comments about anticipated reactions.
Why she expected judgment
Wheatley said she anticipated being “hella judged” by fans, but also framed openness about cosmetic treatments as important to her. “I love treatments and I love that they make you feel more confident. I really want to be open and honest about what I’m having done,” she said, as quoted by PerthNow.
The July report said she had 666,000 Instagram followers at the time. That is a dated audience figure, not a current count or evidence of how many people approved or disapproved of her decision.

What the reports call the procedure
The name varies across the coverage, so “fox eye lift” should be understood as the wording used in Wheatley’s announcement and the news headlines, not as a confirmed clinical procedure name. A September PerthNow report described the intended effect as slightly raising the eyes. It also quoted the surgeon’s consultation post, which called the planned operation “brow lift surgery.” Later retrospective coverage referred to “canthoplasty.” These labels come from different sources and are not interchangeable proof of exactly what was performed.
On 10 September 2024, PerthNow reported that Wheatley was being wheeled into surgery in Turkey. The report documents a later stage than the July announcement, but the entertainment coverage does not establish clinical details, medical suitability, or what another person should expect from a similarly named procedure. PerthNow’s 10 September report includes the clinic and surgeon-caption details.

What Wheatley later said about recovery
In later retrospective coverage, Mamamia recounted Wheatley’s account that she temporarily could not see after surgery and was bedridden for several days. This is her reported experience, not an independently verified clinical finding or a prediction of recovery for other patients. The report also uses the term “canthoplasty.” Mamamia’s retrospective report gives that later account; its publication date is not stated precisely here.
