Steam currently lists the game as “To be announced” and not yet available there.
What is Sky of Tides?
Sky of Tides is a narrative-rich sci-fi fantasy adventure with RPG elements, developed by Lofty Sky Entertainment and published by ESDigital Games. Steam describes nine fully voiced episodes, exploration, dialogue choices, hidden objects, customization suits, and multiple endings. Those are publisher descriptions, not independently tested gameplay findings. Steam’s product page has the current store status.
Rin’s search in numen9
The story follows Rin D’Lorah, a teenager living on Yantar, as she searches for her missing father, Dr. Lu D’Lorah. Her journey takes place in numen9, a society transformed by the Great Catastrophe: the world was shattered into nine planetoids, oceans hang in the sky, and the exposed Inner Sun adds to the environmental danger. The Syndicate and the Sovereign are central to the setting’s political division. These are elements of the game’s fictional world, not claims about real-world science.
How choices and traits shape the story
Dialogue and exploration choices change Rin’s traits and influence the branching narrative. The five traits listed by the developer are Intelligence, Humor, Courage, Compassion, and Luck. Outcomes depend on reaching thresholds in each category, so the system is built around balancing traits rather than pushing only one to an extreme.

The developer says the game has 32 endings and that maintaining balance opens its true ending. Creative director Judith Cheung described the design this way: “This is a broken, divided world that’s totally out of balance,” explaining that the character’s motivations and the world’s need for balance informed the mechanic. What is Sky of Tides: Atla?
Sky of Tides: Atla is a companion animated series set in the same universe. It follows Atla Gildeon and her twin brother Kryll on a secret mission connected to the Syndicate. The developer describes it as five episodes and says players unlock it by reaching the game’s true ending. One official product page describes in-game access as limited-time availability, so that route should not be assumed to remain available indefinitely.

On May 27, 2025, Lofty Sky announced that the first episode was scheduled for a June 5 world premiere at the New Media Film Festival. That announcement records a planned premiere; it does not establish where the series can be watched now or whether it is available as a standalone release. The official Atla page describes the series, while the premiere announcement gives the dated event details.

Steam currently lists Sky of Tides as “To be announced” and says it is not yet available on that store. Lofty Sky’s project page retains an older “Coming 2025” window and names Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Android. That older window documents announced plans; it is not confirmation that a version has launched on any of those platforms. Check the relevant official storefront for your region before making plans to buy or play.
