He is one of six notable public figures associated with the Sky Blues featured here. This is an editorial selection from publicly documented names, not a measured ranking: the available sources do not establish who is “most famous” or compare the supporters’ prominence.
Tom Grennan: a supporter who helped another fan reach Wembley
The singer-songwriter’s connection to Coventry City is supported by broadcaster coverage. In a 22 May 2023 report, ITV News Central described Grennan as a fellow Sky Blues fan while reporting on his help for Lauti Murguia, a Coventry supporter from Argentina. Builder Ashley Monk had been raising money to help Murguia travel to Wembley for the 2023 Championship play-off final; Grennan stepped in to help.
Grennan explained his reason in personal terms: “Basically I’m doing it because I want him to experience the way I feel when I’m at Coventry.” He added: “But I’m not doing it for anything else. Apart from just the love of football”. The episode offers a concrete example of his support, rather than simply attaching a celebrity name to the club.
His link has appeared in later coverage too. Sky Sports included an interview with Grennan in its 4 May 2026 coverage of Coventry’s promotion celebrations. A BBC Football Daily episode listing dated 29 August 2026 describes him as a Coventry City fan and says he interviewed Frank Lampard ahead of the club’s first home Premier League match in more than 25 years. That is episode-description information; it does not establish what Grennan said in the episode.

Five other notable names associated with the Sky Blues
Coventry City’s public supporter list includes figures from broadcasting, motorsport, music and acting. The club article is a useful guide to names, but it is not an ordered or consistently substantiated ranking. For these five, the claims below are deliberately limited to their inclusion in that list rather than extending to unverified stories about how they became supporters or how often they attend.
Richard Keys
The broadcaster is among the public supporters named in the Coventry City F.C. article’s supporter section. The listing does not provide a basis for ranking his prominence among the club’s fans.

Formula One figure Christian Horner also appears in the supporter section. That inclusion identifies him as a notable name associated with Coventry City, but does not by itself document his attendance or the history of his support.

Why this is a selection, not a “top six” ranking
The club’s supporter list names a broader group, including other public figures, but neither it nor the broadcaster reports cited here measures celebrity-fan popularity, relative fame, or attendance. The six names therefore should not be read as an objective top six. Grennan stands out in this selection because his support is covered by multiple dated broadcaster sources and is illustrated by his help for a fellow fan; the other five are included as notable names listed by the club article.
