The park’s current attraction page now labels it “Now Open!” and publishes a 309-foot height, an 87 mph top speed and 4,199 feet of track. Those records are Six Flags’ claims, not independently audited rankings.
What was teased—and what happened next?
The teaser was for Tormenta Rampaging Run, a giga dive coaster at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. Six Flags announced that the ride would open Thursday, July 9, 2026; its current attraction page lists it as open. Six Flags’ attraction page and the City of Arlington’s July 8 opening announcement establish the status and date.
What are the coaster’s specifications?
Six Flags lists the following figures for Tormenta Rampaging Run. They are park-published specifications and record claims, not independent measurements.
| Feature | Six Flags’ published figure |
|---|---|
| Height | 309 feet; claimed by the park as the tallest dive coaster |
| Drop | 285 feet at 95 degrees beyond vertical; claimed as the highest drop of that angle |
| Top speed | 87 mph; claimed as the fastest dive coaster |
| Immelmann inversion | 218 feet; claimed as the highest Immelmann inversion |
| Vertical loop | 179 feet; claimed as the tallest vertical coaster loop |
| Track length | 4,199 feet; claimed as the longest dive coaster |
The figures and record descriptions appear on the official ride page. The categories matter: for example, the park frames the height and length claims specifically against dive coasters, rather than all roller coasters.
