By the time of the conversation, Kody’s marriages to Christine, Janelle and Meri had ended, leaving Robyn as his only remaining wife. In an exclusive clip reported by E! News on April 25, 2025, Robyn described feeling vulnerable as Kody’s only partner. She said she had concerns about whether one wife would be enough for him and wanted reassurance about what their relationship would look like (E! News, April 25, 2025).
What Robyn and Kody said about plural marriage
Robyn framed her uncertainty as a question about whether their monogamous relationship was the future or whether they might try plural marriage again. Kody’s response in the same clip was direct: “I’m not interested in plural marriage anymore.” He also said he did not want to pursue another woman. E! reported that the episode was scheduled to air on April 27, 2025.

So, at the time of that conversation, Robyn was asking whether one wife was enough for Kody, while Kody said he did not want to return to plural marriage. The clip does not establish what either of them would decide indefinitely.

In a separate development, TMZ reported on September 14, 2026, that TLC’s Season 21 trailer announced Kody and Robyn would not return to Sister Wives (TMZ, September 14, 2026). The report said the couple had not commented on their exit as of publication and did not give a reason for it.

Their reported departure from the series is distinct from the 2025 conversation. The trailer report does not say that the couple separated, resumed plural marriage or changed the position Kody expressed in the clip.
