In a reported conversation on Sister Wives, Kody Brown told Meri Brown, “Where we are now is… I actually like you now.” Meri answered, “Gods be praised,” then challenged his estimate of how long he had disliked her. The exchange was reported in the context of their separation, not as a reconciliation.
What Kody said to Meri
A People-sourced report syndicated by Yahoo recounts Kody saying, “Where we are now is… I actually like you now.” Meri responds with the dry joke, “Gods be praised.” Kody then says, “Well, I didn’t for six years at all.” Meri replies that she thinks it was longer and tells him, “Be honest with yourself.” People-sourced report syndicated by Yahoo

Why the remark came after their split
The report places the conversation after the end of Kody and Meri’s union had been confirmed in January. It describes their relationship as platonic for years before that, providing context for Kody’s distinction between liking Meri “now” and not liking her during the preceding period.
Meri also says, “I feel very peaceful about our situation, he doesn’t.” That contrast suggests they were not describing the separation in the same emotional terms; it does not, by itself, establish what either person intended beyond the words reported.

What the exchange does—and does not—show
The reported conversation is a candid, lightly teasing moment about how the two relate after their union ended. Kody’s remark says he likes Meri now; it does not announce that they are getting back together. Meri’s joke and her disagreement about the six-year estimate likewise do not establish a broader reconciliation or explain the full history of their relationship.
