Kody Brown’s line about an alleged affair appears at the end of a Sister Wives season 20 midseason trailer. The promotional clip does not identify either wife involved, and the available coverage does not confirm that an affair occurred.
What Kody says in the trailer
In the trailer, Kody says: “Your wife’s having an affair, and your other wife tells you. That’s my business!” The line is a teaser allegation, not confirmation of infidelity. Neither the trailer coverage nor the quoted line names the wife he says had an affair or the wife who allegedly told him.

PEOPLE’s exclusive trailer report, republished by AOL on November 23, 2025, reproduces the line. Parade’s November 24 recap also quotes it and says it comes at the preview’s conclusion. Both accounts describe the same promotional material; neither independently verifies the allegation.
What else the preview shows
Kody’s proposed apologies
The trailer previews Kody attempting to apologize to former wives Meri, Janelle, and Christine, as well as current wife Robyn. Christine says she needs to know his motive, while Meri questions whether the apology is sincere. Robyn says in the trailer, “I do not agree with things that he does. I do not agree with his attitudes.” These are statements reproduced from the promotional clip, not independent interviews.

Coyote Pass dispute
The reported tell-all preview also features Coyote Pass and disagreement over a proposed deal. The coverage recounts the participants’ views but does not resolve the dispute.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is and is not established
- Established: Kody makes the quoted statement in the season 20 midseason promotional trailer.
- Not established: The identities of the wives he refers to, whether an affair took place, or what the allegation concerns.
A 2012 Utah federal court decision describes Sister Wives as a reality show based on the Browns’ plural family, but that historical description provides no evidence about the trailer’s current allegation. The court decision is relevant only as background on the series.
