Siren, the PlayStation 2 survival-horror game, became available as a digital conversion for PS4 and PS5 on October 15, 2024. Sony added features including up-rendering, rewind, quick save and custom video filters. It is the original game adapted for newer consoles—not a newly made sequel or remake.
Is the original Siren on PS5?
Yes. Sony’s PlayStation Store lists Siren for both PS4 and PS5, with an October 15, 2024 release date. The listing describes it as a conversion of the PlayStation 2 version. The Store does not characterize these additions as a remake or describe a new version of the game’s story. Sony also cautions that the conversion may play differently from the PS2 version and that some features may not function properly. The listing does not specify which features might be affected.

The game is set in Hanuda, a village surrounded by a mysterious red sea. Its inhabitants become shibito, and the story follows ten characters over three days. Survival depends in part on sightjacking: seeing through the eyes of friends and enemies. That perspective-switching premise is central to how the game connects its characters and episodes, which unfold non-chronologically.
