Silo season 4 officially wrapped filming, Apple TV said on March 6, 2026. That is the exciting update: it confirms production has finished, but it is not a premiere-date announcement. Apple later set season 3’s ten-episode run for July 3 through September 4, 2026; those dates have passed, and the sources cited here do not establish when season 4 will arrive.
What is the Silo season 4 update?
Apple TV’s official account posted: “One for the Pact. #Silo Season 4 has officially wrapped filming.” 9to5Mac reproduced the post in its March 6, 2026 report. The announcement confirms that filming was complete by the time Apple shared the update; it does not give a season 4 release date or specify a more precise filming-completion date.
At the time, 9to5Mac suggested that finishing season 4 before season 3 premiered could mean a shorter wait between seasons. That was the outlet’s expectation, not a schedule confirmed by Apple. A completed shoot alone does not establish when a season will be ready to stream.
When did Silo season 3 come out?
Apple announced on April 21, 2026 that season 3 would begin July 3, with ten episodes released weekly on Fridays through September 4. Its season announcement set those dates; Apple reiterated the schedule in its June 16 photo-call announcement. As of October 7, 2026, the announced season 3 window had passed.
#1 Best Overall
Apple described season 3 as combining two storylines. In the present, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced “cleaning” and returns with memory loss while the silo recovers from rebellion and confronts a new threat. Centuries earlier, in the “Before Times,” journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy. Apple presents that earlier story as an origin thread alongside the continuing account of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground.
The season 3 announcements list returning cast including Ferguson, Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite and Clare Perkins. New cast members named by Apple include Zukerman, Henwick, Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney and Matt Craven; Colin Hanks recurs, and Steve Zahn returns.
When is Silo season 4 coming out?
Apple has confirmed that season 4 is the final season, but the announcements cited here do not give its premiere date. The filming update is encouraging news about production progress, not evidence of a particular release window. Any claim that season 4 will arrive sooner than previous seasons remains speculation unless Apple announces a date.
What to know about the books
Silo is based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy, which begins with Wool. The books can serve as companion reading for viewers interested in the story’s source material, but the available announcements do not establish a one-book-per-season adaptation pattern.

Apple says Silo streams on Apple TV. Its season 3 announcement said the complete first and second seasons were available there at that time. That statement does not establish current regional availability or subscription pricing.
