Shovel Knight: Steel Thy Concert was Yacht Club Games’ first official concert for the series, promoted as a two-show celebration of a decade of Shovel Knight. It paired orchestral and rock arrangements by Charlie Rosen and series composer Jake Kaufman with gameplay footage. The New York performance took place on February 22, 2025; the organizer listed a second show in Los Angeles for March 30, 2025.
What was Steel Thy Concert?
Yacht Club Games announced Shovel Knight: Steel Thy Concert on September 3, 2024, describing it as the first official Shovel Knight concert. The show was designed as a live presentation of music from the game series, performed by an ensemble combining orchestral and rock elements, with gameplay footage on screen. Arrangements were credited to Charlie Rosen and Jake Kaufman, the composer behind the series’ music.
The event was framed as a celebration of the franchise’s first decade. It was a live concert with game visuals, not simply a soundtrack listening session.
Where and when were the concerts?
The event was promoted for two cities. The dates below reflect Yacht Club Games’ event listing; The Town Hall independently listed the New York performance time.
