Shor Police is the electropop project of composer-producer Clinton Cerejo and singer-songwriter Bianca Gomes. It gives Cerejo a pop-focused outlet distinct from his fusion work for Coke Studio India: the same musicianship carries across both, but the projects have different sounds and creative identities.
Who are Shor Police?
Cerejo and Gomes bring different but complementary roles to the duo. Cerejo is a composer and producer; Gomes is a singer-songwriter whose contributions include songwriting and composition. Their sound draws on electronic production and funk as well as the classic rock, pop and R&B they grew up listening to. In a January 2021 interview with Scroll, Gomes described how those influences converge: “We grew up on classic rock, pop and R&B, so all of those finally come together here.”
For Cerejo, the project also offered room to show a side of his work that listeners might not associate with his other music. “Shor Police is an opportunity to present a new avatar of me,” he told Scroll.
How does Shor Police differ from Cerejo’s Coke Studio work?
Cerejo’s Coke Studio India work included fusion songs such as “Baina” and “Mauje Naina,” bringing together musical textures and styles. Shor Police, by contrast, centers on pop songwriting, electronic production and funk. The distinction is not a matter of one project being more authentic than the other: they are different settings for a composer-producer whose work ranges across styles, with Gomes helping shape the duo’s songwriting and sound.

This is a comparison of the projects as described by Cerejo and Gomes, not a ranking of their music. Their March 2021 interview with Rolling Stone India also foregrounded the value of creative disagreement: different instincts can lead to more interesting results rather than requiring the pair to settle on a single influence.
What music did the duo discuss in 2021?
In the January 2021 Scroll interview, Cerejo and Gomes talked about original songs including “Anjaana” and “Whatcha Doin’ To Me?” They also discussed a cover of “Power is Power” featuring Rajasthani folk singer Mame Khan. These examples show the range of the project at that point: original pop material alongside a reinterpretation featuring a guest vocalist.

Those releases and plans belong to the period covered by the interview; they should not be read as a current release schedule. In 2023, a YourStory profile reported that the duo collaborated with Reel Muzik Werks on the album Well Hello and released nine original soundtracks over three months. That is the profile’s description of the rollout, not a count of tracks currently available on streaming services.
What has Shor Police done since those interviews?
A June 2025 interview with Mid-Day reported that Shor Police composed music for Subham, marking the duo’s Telugu film debut. The update places their collaborative work in film music as well as their independent pop releases; it does not make Shor Police and Cerejo’s earlier Coke Studio work interchangeable.

How do Cerejo and Gomes describe their approach?
In the 2021 Rolling Stone India interview, Cerejo emphasized the importance of broad musical knowledge in a career where opportunities can shift unexpectedly: “The secret to some degree of longevity in this business is to amass as much musical knowledge as you can, because this business will throw stuff at you when you least expect it.” Gomes’s advice in the same interview was more direct: “Don’t conform! Don’t follow a trend, create one.” Together, those comments capture a project grounded in varied musical backgrounds but not defined by a single genre or format.
