The new arrest added a misdemeanor simple battery count. On June 3, he pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor simple battery counts and received probation with treatment and training conditions.
Why LaBeouf was arrested a second time
New Orleans police said officers responded at about 12:45 a.m. on February 17, 2026, to the 1400 block of Royal Street after two adult men reported being assaulted. Police described an escalating disturbance at a Royal Street business. The incident was reported during Mardi Gras festivities at or near the Royal Street Inn & R Bar. ABC News

A warrant led to LaBeouf’s second arrest on February 28. The new misdemeanor simple battery count was tied to an additional alleged victim in the same fight, not to a separately reported altercation. That additional-victim detail was attributed by CBS to sources speaking to its local affiliate. LaBeouf’s lawyer, Sarah Chervinsky, told the Associated Press that he voluntarily surrendered after learning of the warrant. Associated Press CBS News / Associated Press

What the court ordered before the plea
At the February 26 bond hearing, Judge Levine set a $100,000 bond and ordered drug testing and substance abuse treatment. The court also directed LaBeouf to stay away from the alleged victims and the bar. The Associated Press reported that Levine said: “This defendant does not take his alcohol addiction seriously.” That was the judge’s statement at the hearing, not a finding about the later plea’s terms. What happened in court on June 3
After prosecutors filed formal misdemeanor charges on May 21, LaBeouf pleaded guilty on June 3 to three misdemeanor simple battery counts. ABC News reported suspended six-month sentences on each count and two years of active probation. The Guardian reported probation conditions including alcohol rehabilitation, sensitivity training and anger management; it said failing to complete probation successfully could result in six months in jail. These reports describe the sentence and conditions, not proof that the conditions have since been completed. ABC News The Guardian
The Guardian reported that the district attorney’s office said it consulted victims before agreeing to the plea and that they supported the resolution. That is the office’s account as reported by the newspaper; it does not independently establish each victim’s position. The paper also quoted the office as saying: “The agreement creates meaningful legal consequences and enforceable conditions moving forward.” The Guardian
