The April arc brought the former romantic partners back into Genoa City’s story, with later appearances reported in June and Stephanie also featured in CBS’s fall-season preview.
When did Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox return?
CBS announced the actors’ multi-episode arc for April 2026. TV Insider reported that both returns began Tuesday, April 7: Moore as Malcolm and Fox as Stephanie. That date comes from the outlet’s April interviews; the CBS episode-guide summaries cited below confirm their presence in April episodes but do not list an April 7 episode.
In its February 17 announcement coverage, Soap Opera Network said the characters had a romance in 1995 and that their return would have lasting implications in Genoa City.
What happened in the April storyline?
Malcolm tries to reconnect with Holden
CBS’s April 9 episode summary says Malcolm tells Holden he hopes they can have a relationship and asks why Stephanie kept them apart. The synopsis establishes a family relationship at the center of Malcolm’s return, while leaving the full history and its consequences to the episodes.

Stephanie discusses Malcolm’s diagnosis
The CBS summary for April 14 says Lily and Dr. Stephanie discuss Malcolm’s diagnosis and next steps. Fox described the character’s return as carrying unresolved revelations in an April 6 interview with TV Insider: “Stephanie is back,” Fox declares. “And Stephanie has a lot of secrets that will be revealed.”
Did they appear again after April?
Yes. Access Hollywood’s June 6 video description reported that Moore and Fox would be back for episodes airing June 8 and June 9. Those dates are reported by the outlet; the CBS episode-guide material cited here does not independently confirm them.

CBS’s September 10 lineup announcement also included Stephanie in its preview for the show’s 54th season, which continues October 8, 2026. It describes her supporting Nate as he pursues a return to medicine. That fall-season mention establishes Stephanie’s place in the season’s story framing, but does not establish that both actors had a continuous on-screen run.
