Shawn Mendes’s intimate-show run tied to his 2024 album Shawn was formally known as the “For Friends and Family Only” tour. It ran from August 8, 2024, to April 8, 2025, and has concluded. The supplied title’s “Intimate Family and Friends Tour” is a descriptive variation, not the tour’s consistent formal name.
What was the “For Friends and Family Only” tour?
It was a series of intimate theatre shows associated with Mendes’s album Shawn, rather than his later “On The Road Again” tour. Contemporary coverage in August 2024 described the announcement as a set of intimate shows for the new album. Some coverage styles the name as “For My Friends and Family Only”; the tour overview uses “For Friends and Family Only.”
NME’s August 2, 2024 coverage identified London and Woodstock among the early stops. The full itinerary and show count below come from a third-party tour overview, so they should be treated as that overview’s reporting rather than independently verified official listings.
When did the tour run, and how many shows were listed?
The tour overview lists 19 shows, beginning August 8, 2024, and ending April 8, 2025. That is an itinerary count from the overview, not an independently reported industry statistic.
