Spoiler warning: This explanation covers the Egghead and Elbaf events around manga chapter 1079 and anime episode 1112. Shanks’s Divine Departure is the attack called Kamusari (神避). He uses it against Eustass Kid, cutting Kid down along with his weapon, Damned Punk. The manga scene appears in chapter 1079; the anime adaptation is episode 1112.
What is Shanks’s Divine Departure?
Divine Departure is the English rendering commonly used for Kamusari (神避), the named attack Shanks unleashes on Eustass Kid. The official anime synopsis identifies the technique as Kamusari and says Shanks cuts down Kid together with Damned Punk. It does not provide a measurable explanation of the attack’s mechanics or damage.

In the official synopsis’s account, Shanks sees a future in which the Red Hair Pirates’ affiliated crews are wiped out, then boards Kid’s ship alone. This gives the scene its immediate context: Shanks intervenes as Kid’s electromagnetic cannon, Damned Punk, threatens those crews. ONE PIECE.com’s episode 1112 page provides the official Japanese synopsis.

The last event is separate from Shanks’s attack: the official synopsis attributes the destruction of the Victoria Punk to Dorry and Brogy’s Hakoku, not to Kamusari.

What the scene establishes—and what it does not
The scene establishes that Shanks uses Kamusari to defeat Kid while Damned Punk is involved in the blow, and that Dorry and Brogy destroy the Victoria Punk afterward with Hakoku. The official synopsis does not establish a power ranking, the full limits of Shanks’s abilities, or precise damage mechanics. The anime’s visual presentation should not, by itself, be treated as proof of additional canon rules.
