Selena Gomez shared a video and photos of Taylor Swift at her September 27, 2025, wedding to Benny Blanco, posting them on Instagram on October 6. The video catches Swift reacting to Gomez in her bridal look as the friends get ready together; Gomez framed the post as a tribute to Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl.
What Taylor Swift says in the video
In the bridal suite, Swift sits beside Gomez and films her in her wedding look. As Gomez laughs, Swift reacts, “Are you even serious?” then, “What? Look at her. Oh my God! Oh my God!” Gomez replies, “I’m so happy. I’m getting married. Finally!” ABC News reported the exchange.
What else Gomez included in the post
The carousel also showed the friends hugging beneath string lights and sharing chilled drinks. Its final slide was a screenshot of Swift’s song “The Fate of Ophelia,” according to Rolling Stone.
Why Gomez shared the photos
Gomez dedicated the post to Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl. Rolling Stone transcribed Gomez’s caption as: “In honor of SHOWGIRL .. blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always.” That wording reflects Gomez’s own description of their friendship.
