Garrick Merrifield, known from TLC’s Seeking Sister Wife, was arrested in Chaffee County, Colorado, on November 24, 2025, according to reports published the following days. Coverage described misdemeanor domestic violence and obstructing telephone service among the reported charges. The allegations described in reporting about a warrant affidavit have not been established as court findings, and the available information here does not confirm the case’s final outcome.
What was reported about Merrifield’s arrest?
Parade reported on November 25, 2025, that Merrifield had been arrested in Chaffee County. A November 26 Yahoo News report, relaying information from PEOPLE and the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, identified November 24 as his booking date and said he faced misdemeanor domestic-violence and obstructing-telephone-service charges.
The outlets described the charge information differently: Parade said online court records listed telephone-obstruct-service and that a jail spokesperson told TMZ the arrest was for misdemeanor domestic violence; Yahoo’s PEOPLE-sourced report said the sheriff’s office confirmed both charges. These are reported descriptions, not a substitute for reviewing the charging documents.
What did reports say the affidavit alleged?
The Daily Beast reported on November 27, 2025, that TMZ had described allegations in a warrant affidavit. According to that account, Lorrana told police that Merrifield took her phone during an argument, would not let her speak with family in Brazil, and threatened to contact ICE after she said she wanted to call police. These are allegations attributed to the affidavit as described in reporting; they are not findings of guilt.
