Secrets of the Hells Angels is an A&E documentary series about the motorcycle club, told through interviews with former chapter presidents, law-enforcement personnel, victims and others. A&E promoted an eight-episode season, but its current listing and Hulu show seven; the available pages do not explain the difference.
What is Secrets of the Hells Angels about?
A&E announced the series on March 6, 2024, as an addition to its “Secrets Of” documentary franchise, with a premiere scheduled for April 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The network describes a series examining the Hells Angels and stories involving club chapters, alleged criminal activity and conflicts with rival motorcycle groups. Its announcement highlights the Cleveland chapter, an alleged plot targeting Mick Jagger, drugs, violent attacks and biker wars. Whose perspectives does the series include?
A&E says the series draws on five former Hells Angels chapter presidents, law-enforcement officers, undercover agents, victims and others. That mix suggests the program is structured around testimony from former members and people involved in investigations or affected by events, alongside its account of the club’s history.
Apple TV credits David Foulkes as director and lists Jay Dobyns in the cast. Its episode description identifies Dobyns as an ATF agent who went undercover and says agent Jenna Maguire supported the operation. A&E also says Sonny Barger’s ex-wife Noel Barger appears. The episode total varies by listing. A&E’s 2024 announcement called the series an eight-episode addition, while the current A&E series page and Hulu list one season with seven episodes. Apple TV includes episode descriptions beyond the seven shown on those pages. None of the reviewed listings explains the discrepancy, so there is no single count to report without qualification.
