Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky were photographed on a Paris date night in November 2025, while Gaga was on her Mayhem Ball tour. Their relationship also intersects with her work: Gaga has described their creative partnership, and the Associated Press reported that Polansky was a producer and co-executive producer on Mayhem. That makes him a documented collaborator—not, on the available evidence, the album’s sole inspiration.

Vogue described Gaga’s ring as an 18-karat white and rose gold band with an oval diamond and pink pavé diamonds. That is the publication’s description; it is not an independent verification of the jewelry.
Who is Michael Polansky?
Polansky is Gaga’s fiancé and a creative collaborator. Gaga has spoken publicly about their relationship and creative connection, and she told Good Morning America that he plays guitar. The Associated Press reported that he served as a producer and co-executive producer on Mayhem.
How Gaga and Polansky met and got engaged
In a profile for Vogue, Gaga said her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, met Polansky in 2019 and thought he might be Gaga’s future husband. Gaga and Polansky met at a party that December and talked for three hours.

Vogue reported that they became engaged in April 2024 after a day of rock climbing. In the same interview, Gaga described Polansky as smart, kind, and supportive; ABC News also summarized her account of their relationship and engagement.
What Polansky’s role in Mayhem does—and does not—show
The Associated Press described Mayhem as a 14-track album and reported Polansky as a producer and co-executive producer. Gaga has also called him her best friend and described their relationship as creative. Those are concrete signs of his involvement in the album’s process, but they do not establish that he alone inspired the record.

Gaga told Good Morning America that she used the music to express “personal chaos” while finding ways to “celebrate and dance through it.” The AP placed the album in the context of her rediscovery of her passion for music and return to dark-pop roots. In a 2025 interview with ELLE, Gaga reflected on making the album as a process of rediscovery, saying, “The chaos I thought was long gone is fully intact and ready to greet me whenever I’d like.” She also called the ordinary life she shares with friends, her dogs, and Polansky “Everyday poetry.”
Together, Gaga’s comments and the production credits support a picture of a partner involved in her creative life, alongside the broader personal and musical themes she has described around Mayhem.
