An exclusive preview published December 17, 2024, showed a rainy-day moment at Mia’s apartment: after Max and Mia return with their dogs, Max takes off his wet shirt while Mia goes upstairs to change.
What happens in the preview?
The scene follows a rainy walk in Seattle. Max, a dog-shelter owner, and Mia, played by Lowndes, return to her apartment with their dogs. While Mia is upstairs changing, Max removes his wet shirt. The preview’s setup leans on Seattle rain rather than the snow often associated with holiday movies. Entertainment Weekly’s December 17, 2024 preview described the moment; the original page was not independently accessible for this report, so scene details are attributed to that preview.
Who won Finding Mr. Christmas season one?
Moreland won the first season, beating finalists Hayden Maher and Elijah Malcomb. The competition began with ten men and combined festive challenges with acting-focused tests. Among the reported challenges were an acting scene opposite Rachel Boston and a waltz with Dancing With the Stars professional Witney Carson. Us Weekly’s December 13, 2024 report covered the finale and Moreland’s win.
How did winning lead to Happy Howlidays?
The prize was a role opposite Lowndes in a Hallmark movie. The production selected a film to suit the winner after the competition was filmed. Host and co-creator Jonathan Bennett told TVLine in October 2024 that Hallmark reviewed movies in development to find “the right puzzle piece” for the winner. Moreland also said he had time to work with acting coach Jeffrey Marcus before filming.

Season one’s winner is not the show’s only winner
Moreland is the answer when the question is who won the first season. Craig Geoghan won season two in 2025 and received a supporting role in A Make or Break Holiday. A September 2026 report said Finding Mr. Christmas was canceled after two seasons, so it should not be described as an ongoing series. Just Jared reported the cancellation and the winners’ roles.
