Sean Hannity moved his residence and broadcasting setup from New York to Florida in January 2024. He did not announce that Fox News had moved its headquarters, newsroom, or network-wide television operations to Florida.

Hannity announced the change on January 2, 2024, during his nationally syndicated iHeartRadio program. He said he was broadcasting from his new Florida home and was finished with New York. He made substantially similar remarks on his Fox News television program that evening, according to CBS Miami’s contemporaneous report.

What Sean Hannity actually moved

The January 2024 change involved three related but distinct things:

  • Flexible & Detachable Boom Arm: The boom arm of the stand is adjustable from 16 inches to 30 inches in length and it can rotate 360° horizontally as well as up to 180° vertically. • His personal residence: Hannity said he had moved from New York to Florida.
  • The origin of his programs: His radio and television work began being produced from a Florida-based setup.
  • A remote television studio: His Fox News program was described as originating from a remote Florida studio.

That is different from saying that Fox News Channel relocated. The available reporting does not establish that Fox moved its headquarters, New York newsroom, general studio infrastructure, or entire Hannity production staff to Florida. The most accurate description is that Hannity began broadcasting from a Florida residence or remote production base while continuing to host his national programs.

When did Hannity move to Florida?

Hannity publicly announced the move on January 2, 2024. CBS Miami published its report on January 3, describing his Fox News program as originating from a remote studio in Florida.

The announcement was made on his radio program before or alongside his television remarks that evening. Hannity’s wording made the personal nature of the decision clear: he spoke about leaving New York and settling in Florida rather than describing a corporate relocation by Fox News.

Why did Hannity say he moved?

Hannity presented the move as a combination of politics, taxes, and lifestyle. He said Florida’s elected officials—including Governor Ron DeSantis and Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott—better reflected his political values. He also praised Florida’s tax environment and criticized New York and other Democratic-led states over taxes, regulation, crime, schools, and public policy.

InnoGear Mic Stand Floor Microphone Stand with Boom Arm for Singing
  • Stability Reminder: For maximum stability—especially with the boom arm extended—always center the arm over the iron base. This balances the microphone's weight and prevents tipping. Check this alignment whenever you adjust your setup.
  • 3-in-1 Versatile Design: Effortlessly adapts to any recording need with its intelligent modular build. Use it as a compact desktop stand for podcasting, a low-profile kick drum or sit-down guitar mic stand (extending from 17.6" to 29.0"), a flexible mid-height stand for instruments or seated vocals (30.9"–42.4"), or assemble it fully into a commanding professional floor stand for pedal board, standing vocals or overhead miking (44.3"–55.8"). This eliminates the need for multiple, single-purpose stands, offering complete flexibility in studio, streaming, or live settings.
  • Stable & Space-Saving Stand : Achieve rock-solid performance with a foundation built on a dense, 3.7 lb cast iron base, providing a substantial 111 in² weighted footprint to securely anchor your microphone. The microphone stand features a reinforced rigid-grip shaft and robust tubing to resist bending and vibration. Despite its powerful build, the base's slim, low-profile design allows it to be discreetly stored under sofas, desks, or tables.
  • Flexible Dual-Setup Floor Stand: Gain total control over your microphone placement. For a clean, overhead setup, use the mic stand without the boom arm. For extended reach, attach the boom arm for full 360° horizontal and vertical adjustment, complemented by mic clips with an additional 180° of fine-tuning rotation. This ensures you can capture the perfect audio angle from any position.
  • Out-of-the-Box Compatibility: Package includes 2 sizes of mic clips and a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter. This mic floor stand is compatible with FIFINE AM8, HyperX SoloCast, HyperX QuadCast S, HyperX SoloCast 2, HyperX QuadCast 2, Razer Seiren V3 Mini, HyperX QuadCast 2 S, Audio-Technica AT2020, Blue Yeti, HyperX QuadCast, Shure SM58, Samson Q2U, Fifine K669B and more.

Those points are Hannity’s stated reasons, not independently established findings that taxes or any single issue caused the move. It would be too broad to characterize taxes as the sole reason. His public comments combined political preference with quality-of-life and policy arguments.

Was the entire Hannity show moved to Florida?

There is no reliable evidence in the available reporting that every member of the show’s production team relocated. Nor does the reporting establish the studio’s ownership, staffing model, equipment, or exact technical arrangement.

A television program can originate from a remote or home-based studio while its network, editorial operation, control rooms, booking systems, and other staff remain elsewhere. That distinction matters here. Hannity’s on-camera location changed; the evidence does not support describing the event as a Fox News corporate or network-wide move.

Did Hannity already have a Florida home?

Hannity had previously owned a home in Florida, but the available authoritative reporting does not establish the exact purchase date, address, legal ownership structure, or complete details of the broadcast facility. His private address and unverified property information are not necessary to understand the move and should not be treated as established facts.

Florida remained part of Hannity’s media setup

Florida continued to feature in Hannity’s media work after the 2024 announcement. In February 2026, Fox News announced Hang Out with Sean Hannity, a twice-weekly long-form interview podcast covering subjects including culture, business, sports, and politics. Fox said the podcast would be filmed from a new Florida set that Hannity described as his personal “man cave.”

This later announcement is evidence that Florida remained an important production setting for Hannity. It is not evidence that the original 2024 move involved Fox News relocating its corporate operations. The 2026 podcast set should be understood as a later development, separate from the January 2024 change in Hannity’s residence and broadcast origin. See Fox News’ announcement of the podcast for the network’s description of the project.

What programs does Hannity continue to host?

Fox’s official biography of Sean Hannity, updated in March 2026, identifies him as the host of the weeknight Hannity program and as a continuing presence on nationally syndicated radio. The biography also lists his Florida-based podcast work.

Fox said Hannity would continue his syndicated radio show while ending the “Sean” program on FOX Nation. The new podcast premiered on YouTube in March 2026, according to Fox’s biography. Viewers looking for current programming should verify availability and platform details through Fox’s official listings, since digital distribution can change.

Claim What the available evidence supports
Hannity moved to Florida Yes. He publicly said on January 2, 2024, that he had moved from New York to his new Florida home.
His programs began originating from Florida Yes. Reporting described a Florida remote studio or home-based production setup.
Fox News moved its headquarters to Florida No evidence supports this claim.
The entire Hannity staff relocated Not established by the available sources.
Florida later became a recurring Hannity production setting Yes. Fox later announced a Florida set for Hang Out with Sean Hannity.

The careful summary is therefore simple: Sean Hannity moved his home and personal broadcast base to Florida, while Fox News itself did not move its network operations there.

Is Sean Hannity still producing media from Florida?

In February 2026, Fox announced that his twice-weekly podcast, Hang Out with Sean Hannity, would be filmed from a new Florida set. That was a later production development, not the original 2024 move.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: The January 2024 story was about Sean Hannity’s relocation from New York to Florida and his use of a Florida remote studio for his programs—not a move of Fox News headquarters or the network’s full production operation. Fox’s later Florida podcast set shows that the location remained part of Hannity’s media setup, but it does not change that distinction.
