Todd Chrisley is no longer serving the federal prison sentence referenced in the older headline: President Donald Trump pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley on May 28, 2025, and both were released that day. Savannah Chrisley, their daughter, was waiting outside the Florida prison camp where her father was held.
What was Savannah Chrisley’s update about her father?
As Todd Chrisley was released from the minimum-security prison camp in Pensacola, Florida, Savannah told reporters she wanted to take him home and reunite the family. “We just want to get home. We want to be reunited,” she told the Associated Press. She also said her parents had not seen or heard each other for about two and a half years. Julie Chrisley was released from a facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Associated Press, May 28, 2025
Is Todd Chrisley still in prison?
No. The older headline’s wording is now out of date. AP reported that Trump signed pardons for Todd and Julie Chrisley on May 28, 2025, and that both were released later that day. The pardons brought their imprisonment to an end; the longer sentences listed in federal records describe the original terms, not time ultimately served.
What were Todd and Julie Chrisley sentenced to?
The U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Pardon Attorney’s clemency record, dated January 13, 2026, lists the original sentences and related terms as follows:

What is the later lawsuit about?
In a separate development, the Associated Press reported on June 8, 2026, that Todd and Julie Chrisley filed a lawsuit accusing a former defense attorney of legal malpractice. The couple allege that the attorney’s conduct contributed to their convictions and imprisonment. Those are allegations made in a lawsuit, not findings established by a court in the report.
