Savannah Chrisley’s “tonight or tomorrow” remark was made on May 27, 2025, after President Donald Trump told her he planned to pardon her parents. Todd and Julie Chrisley were released the next day, May 28. The headline described an expected return at the time; it is not a current pickup announcement.
What Savannah Chrisley said on May 27, 2025
Savannah said Trump had called to tell her he was signing pardon paperwork for Todd and Julie. In a video posted after the call, she said: “Both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still don’t believe it’s real.” She also described the family as “freaking out” and said they were getting her parents’ rooms and clothes ready. The contemporaneous AOL/People report said she was heading into Sam’s Club when the call came.
Trump’s reported words to Savannah were: “We’ll try getting it done tomorrow,” according to Global News, which cited a video posted online by White House aide Margo Martin.
When were Todd and Julie Chrisley released?
Trump signed pardons on May 28, 2025, and Todd and Julie were released that day, according to Global News. Savannah’s remark was therefore a forecast made the previous day, not a report that they had already left prison.

No. Todd was held at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, where reporting placed Savannah at his release. Julie was incarcerated at a facility in Lexington, Kentucky, and her pickup was handled separately, according to Us Weekly. Their different locations meant the releases and journeys home were separate.
Why were Todd and Julie Chrisley in prison?
News reports say the couple were convicted in 2022 on bank fraud and tax evasion charges. That brief description identifies the convictions behind their sentences; it is not a full account of the case or court proceedings.
