What have their parents shared about raising them?
Shared parenting and independence
Gellar said in a 2015 ABC News interview that she and Prinze Jr. “split everything pretty fairly.” She also described wanting to raise independent children who see no difference between men and women: “I mean, I think that that’s how you have to raise children today, as you want them to be independent and want them to see in our society that there is no difference between men and women and go from there.” ABC News
Cooking together
Gellar has described cooking with her children as a bonding activity. In 2017, she told Entertainment Tonight, “I think for us, it’s been a really great bonding.” She added that cooking let them see “having an idea, starting from scratch, and actually making it into something tangible.” Entertainment Tonight

How much of their lives do Charlotte and Rocky share publicly?
Reports describe the children as largely kept out of the public spotlight. A 2024 Women’s Health article noted that family photos obscured their faces and quoted Prinze Jr. explaining that he had not put his children on social media: “That’s just not something that I’ve ever done.” The quote referred specifically to sharing his children on social media. Women’s Health
A CNA Lifestyle report published in September 2021 and updated in December 2025 said Gellar had described a rule that the children were not then allowed on social media. She tied the restriction to accountability and the responsibility of posting publicly. That was a report of the family’s policy at the time, not confirmation of their current rules. CNA Lifestyle
