Sandra Itzel ha descrito como un “calvario” su relación con Adrián Di Monte y ha alegado que vivió violencia psicológica. Di Monte negó haberla violentado y ofreció una versión distinta de la relación. La pareja anunció su separación en 2021; según una publicación posterior de EL PAÍS, el divorcio se concretó en 2024. Qué contó Sandra Itzel sobre la relación
En una entrevista con el podcast Hablemos de Tal con Un Tal Fredo, resumida por People en Español el 22 de diciembre de 2023, Itzel relató que Di Monte la trataba mal, la regañaba por gastos domésticos y le gritaba. También dijo que él la insultaba por su peso y habló de celos e infidelidades. Son afirmaciones atribuidas a Itzel en esa entrevista, no hechos establecidos de manera independiente.
Al describir cómo se sentía, Itzel dijo: “Yo era una mariposita que todos los días le cortaban las alas”. La frase expresa su perspectiva personal; no constituye una conclusión oficial sobre la relación.
Qué respondió Adrián Di Monte
En una respuesta publicada por El Universal el 10 de noviembre de 2023, Di Monte negó rotundamente haberla violentado y calificó de falsas las acusaciones. Describió la relación como “súper bonita” y dijo que el conflicto afectaba su trabajo y su salud mental. Esa es su versión pública de los hechos.

En agosto de 2025, EL PAÍS informó que Di Monte había hablado de errores pasados e inmadurez. Esa declaración, tal como fue reportada, no equivale a una admisión de las acusaciones de violencia ni a una decisión judicial sobre ellas.
Cómo evolucionó el caso
- Agosto de 2021: Itzel y Di Monte anunciaron su separación tras diez años juntos. Univision informó que entonces describieron la ruptura como amistosa y señaló que llevaban ocho años casados.
- 26 de septiembre de 2021: según la cobertura de Univision, Itzel publicó acusaciones de presunto abuso psicológico después de una entrevista de Di Monte.
- 10 de noviembre de 2023: El Universal publicó la negación de Di Monte.

- 25 de abril de 2024: en una entrevista con Telemundo, Itzel dijo que durante mucho tiempo no reconoció como violencia psicológica lo que había vivido y sostuvo que Di Monte había alargado el divorcio. Son declaraciones de la entrevistada, no constataciones judiciales.
- 2024: de acuerdo con EL PAÍS en una nota de 2025, el divorcio se concretó ese año.
- Agosto de 2025: EL PAÍS informó que ambas partes habían iniciado procesos legales.
Qué se sabe —y qué no— sobre la situación legal
La cobertura de EL PAÍS informó de procesos legales iniciados por ambas partes y de que el divorcio quedó concretado en 2024. Eso no permite concluir que un tribunal haya resuelto las acusaciones sobre la relación: la cobertura consultada no comunica una decisión judicial sobre el fondo de esas alegaciones.
