When was San Diego Comic-Con 2024?
Comic-Con International’s official Events Quick Guide lists the convention as July 25–28, 2024, with Preview Night on July 24. The highlights below distinguish announcements and scheduled appearances from trailers or footage confirmed as having been introduced at the event.
DC introduced the first Creature Commandos trailer
In its July 30 recap, DC reported that James Gunn introduced the first trailer for the upcoming animated series Creature Commandos during the Jim Lee & Friends panel. That confirms a trailer debut at the panel; it does not, by itself, establish when or whether the same footage was made publicly available online.
DC had announced an expanded show-floor presence and event lineup ahead of the convention in its July 11 announcement. The post-event recap is the source for the trailer detail.

Paramount+ scheduled panels across its franchises
Paramount+’s July 10, 2024 announcement outlined panels and activations; it is a pre-event schedule, not confirmation of every trailer screened. Its announced slate included:
- Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- The Star Trek universe, including Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Starfleet Academy and Section 31. Paramount+ identified a Star Trek Hall H session for Saturday, July 27.
- Dexter: Original Sin.
The announcement also described event activations, including the Star Trek Menagerie booth and The Lodge in the Gaslamp District. Those details establish what Paramount+ planned to bring to the convention, rather than what footage was shown or released afterward.

- How to Play: Compete with your friends to identify popular movies from the most convoluted movie summaries possible. Has your mom ever tried to explain a film that she just watched? Did it make one ounce of sense? Of course not–and that’s precisely the inspiration for this game. For example: A goose suddenly dies and it makes everyone really depressed. Psst, it’s 'Top Gun’.
- Package Includes: Features 125 game cards–each featuring a uniquely-terrible description of a movie. Includes instructions for two distinct ways to play (competitive & casual). Suitable for 2 to 8 players.
- Perfect for parties: Brass Monkey’s “Poorly Explained Movies Game” is the perfect party game to make sure everyone has a great time, bring it to your next college dorm game night, happy hour, or even bachelor/bachelorette party and see for yourself.
- Gift Ideas: Ideal gift for birthdays, graduation, holiday gifts, and Christmas

- The Making of Original Dungeons & Dragons: 1970–77, among select Hasbro products.
Hasbro said limited quantities of some products would be available to order from HasbroPulse.com after the convention. That was a historical statement about post-event ordering, not evidence of current stock or availability as a Comic-Con exclusive. The announcement also highlighted programming and experiences for brands including BEYBLADE, TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE.

What the available announcements do—and do not—confirm
Marvel published an official program and booth schedule for SDCC 2024, including the event dates, on its booth schedule page. That schedule alone does not establish a complete list of Marvel Studios Hall H announcements or whether particular footage was released for public viewing. Similarly, a panel listing from another studio confirms a planned appearance, not a trailer debut.
For any SDCC trailer, separate three questions: Was it announced or scheduled? Was a first look or trailer introduced to an audience at a panel? Was that footage officially published for the public to watch? The confirmed DC account supports the second claim for Creature Commandos; the Paramount+ schedule supports planned panels and activations. The cited announcements do not provide a comprehensive trailer ledger across the convention.
