Spoiler: Lochlan Ratliff survives the Season 3 finale of The White Lotus. After he unknowingly drinks a smoothie made in a blender that still contains remnants of his father Timothy’s abandoned poisoned concoction, Lochlan collapses, has a vision, and later wakes alive.
How Lochlan ends up in danger
In the finale, “Amor Fati,” Timothy Ratliff is consumed by the prospect of losing the family’s wealth. He prepares poisoned drinks during that crisis, but changes his mind before the family drinks them and knocks the drinks away. The apparent danger is not over, however: the blender has been used for the concoction.
What happens to Lochlan
The following morning, Lochlan unknowingly uses the blender to make a smoothie and drinks it. He collapses, and the scene presents the episode as a possible death. The finale then reveals that he survives. What the vision—and Sam Nivola’s comments—establish
Lochlan experiences a vision during the collapse, but the available accounts do not establish a definitive medical or supernatural explanation for it, or specify exactly what saved him. Nivola did discuss Lochlan’s near-death experience after the finale, according to the Yahoo Entertainment page republishing a Deadline interview; its search-result description identifies that subject, but the page itself was unavailable, so an exact quote or more specific explanation cannot be verified.
