What did Sabrina Carpenter wear on opening night?
Carpenter began the Short ’n Sweet Tour in Columbus, Ohio, on September 23, 2024, wearing the custom look during the show’s first act. The baby-pink set combined a strapless bodysuit, a babydoll and stockings. Its reported crystal count refers to this original tour look—not to every later version of the costume.
The outfit was created by Victoria’s Secret in collaboration with Carpenter’s stylist, Jared Ellner. The brand-reported details included subtle 1970s-style flowers on the bodysuit cups and a red lipstick-kiss embellishment below her left hip. Custom garters and tights embroidered with “Taste Me” completed the look, according to Marie Claire’s opening-night report.
How long did the custom lingerie take to make?
Victoria’s Secret said the set required 140 hours of handwork, as reported by Marie Claire. That is a production-time figure attributed to the brand, not an independently audited measurement.

How did the costume change later in the tour?
The stage look evolved beyond its original baby-pink design. In 2025, Marie Claire reported on a leopard-print bodysuit version adorned with 150,000 black, brown and silver hand-placed crystals; the article attributed a 140-hour completion time to a Victoria’s Secret press release. The same coverage also noted pastel color variants. These later designs should be distinguished from the original opening-night set.
Is it a retail Victoria’s Secret set?
No: the reported outfit was a custom stage costume, not a standard off-the-rack garment. Consumer products suggested as inspiration are not established as replicas or as having the same crystal count. For example, the retail suggestions in Marie Claire’s original article were described as inspired shopping options, not as Carpenter’s costume itself.

Bustle’s recap also described the crystal-covered look and matching garters and fishnet thigh-highs. Neither that coverage nor the Marie Claire reports establish that a retail item duplicates the custom costume.
