The S.W.A.T. Season 7 trailer billed Alex Russell’s return as “One Final Farewell,” but Jim Street’s final episode was “End of the Road,” Season 7, Episode 5—not a two-part story with the episode before it. Both episodes aired back-to-back on March 8, 2024, and their published synopses describe separate plots.
What is Alex Russell’s last S.W.A.T. episode?

In the promo, Hondo Harrelson says, “I never thought the screw-up I had to fire would be the one I’d have the hardest time saying goodbye to.” That is Hondo’s dialogue in the show, not a public comment by Shemar Moore about Russell.
Why did the trailer call it a two-part episode?
The description is best understood as shorthand for a two-episode, back-to-back broadcast—not evidence that “Spare Parts” and “End of the Road” form one continuous two-part plot. TV Insider described the March 8 schedule as two episodes airing that night and identified the second as Russell’s final episode. TV Guide lists them separately as Season 7, Episodes 4 and 5, with distinct story summaries.

The episodes aired one after the other, but the available episode descriptions do not establish a shared, formally linked storyline. Street’s farewell belongs to “End of the Road,” not both episodes.
How does “End of the Road” bring Street back?
Street had been assigned to Long Beach SWAT, where he was known by the nickname “Hollywood.” “End of the Road” follows him there during training, then brings him back into the 20-Squad story. The episode’s Long Beach plot gives his return a specific setting rather than suggesting he had remained with 20-Squad throughout the season.

When did the episodes air, and where was the season premiere streaming?
“Spare Parts” and “End of the Road” both aired on CBS on March 8, 2024, in back-to-back slots. Separately, CBS’s February 8, 2024, announcement for “Peace Talks,” Season 7, Episode 2, said that episode would air February 23 on CBS and stream on Paramount+, with access timing dependent on subscription tier. That announcement describes the season premiere period; it does not confirm where Season 7 is currently available to stream.
