Project Hail Mary is a recent second-place entry
The Numbers’ October 2026-accessed page reports $344,050,007 domestic and $340,439,940 international, totaling $684,489,947 worldwide. Because it is a recent release, this is a dated snapshot: database revisions or additional theatrical activity may change the figure. The film is based on Andy Weir’s novel.
La La Land holds third place
The Numbers reports $151,101,803 domestic and $352,751,172 international, totaling $503,852,975 worldwide. The company also lists a 2026 anniversary re-release, so the total is best understood as the database’s reported figure at the date checked rather than a permanently fixed number.

How to read worldwide box-office figures
- Worldwide is not domestic. Worldwide gross combines reported ticket sales in domestic and international markets. It is not the same as a film’s U.S. or domestic-only total.
- Gross is not profit. These figures represent reported box-office receipts, not the amount a studio kept after theaters, distribution costs, production budgets, marketing, and other expenses.
- The ranking is not inflation-adjusted. It compares nominal reported dollars. Older releases such as The Notebook are not adjusted to account for changes in ticket prices or currency value.
- Database totals can differ. The Numbers and Box Office Watch do not report identical totals for every film. The list keeps the stated source visible rather than silently reconciling discrepancies.
