At the time, that was Santos’s fourth child overall. The news came in the closing reveal of his “Solo Conmigo” music video; it is a historical announcement, not new pregnancy news.
What Romeo Santos announced in January 2023
On January 17, 2023, Dominican outlet Diario Libre reported that Santos would become a father for the fourth time. People en Español covered the announcement the following day, describing the expected baby as the third child Santos and Francelys would have together.

The reveal appeared at the end of the “Solo Conmigo” music video, which Diario Libre identified as part of Fórmula, Vol. 3. The contemporaneous reports described the news; neither supplied a direct announcement quote from Santos.
Why reports called it both the third child and the fourth
The counts refer to different family relationships. In January 2023, reports identified Alex Damian as Santos’s child from an earlier relationship, while Valentino and Solano were his children with Francelys. The baby being announced would therefore be Francelys’s third child with Santos and his fourth child overall.

What later reporting says about his family
In an August 12, 2026 report, La Nación reported that Santos had five children and listed children with Francelys born in 2024 and 2025. That later account places the 2023 pregnancy announcement in context; it does not establish further details beyond the family information it reports.

Family information about Santos is limited in part because he has said he chooses what to make public. In a 2022 interview cited by HOLA! USA, he said he asked his eldest son before revealing his identity and that Alex made the decision. The comments help explain why reports of the pregnancy focused on the video reveal rather than extensive personal details.
