Robert Kraft and Dana Blumberg held their surprise wedding celebration on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Hall des Lumières in Lower Manhattan. Guests had been invited to a “Kickoff and a Touchdown” event and reportedly learned it was a wedding celebration when the couple appeared.

How did the surprise wedding unfold?
The invitation framed the gathering as “Kickoff and a Touchdown,” without telling guests that they were attending a wedding celebration, according to Vanity Fair and the Boston Globe. The Globe relayed an attendee’s recollection, originally given to People, that a screen opened and Kraft and Blumberg appeared in wedding attire. The attendee said Elton John introduced them as “husband and wife.” This is a guest’s account, not a direct statement from the couple or John.
Which performers and guests were reported?
Reports named Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Meek Mill among the performers, and Tom Brady among the attendees. The Boston Globe and CBS Boston reported names from coverage of the event, but their lists are not a complete or definitive guest list. What is known about the venue?
Hall des Lumières is the Lower Manhattan venue identified in reports of the October 2022 celebration. Those historical accounts establish where the event took place; they do not establish the venue’s current programming or availability.
