Rorie and Scarlett are the daughters of Kate Ledger, Heath Ledger’s sister. That makes Rorie the late actor’s niece. A later PerthNow report published on 2 February 2024 also described the twins and their family connection.

In the 2022 story, PerthNow relayed remarks Kate Ledger had made in a 2018 interview with WHO magazine: “Heath is hugely important in the lives of my children,” and “There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t share stories or talk about him. He is very much alive in our house.”

PerthNow reported the pair together in October 2023, but that was still a historical account. New Idea reported on 25 February 2024 that Irwin and Buckey had shared a joint statement confirming they had broken up in mid-February 2024. The available reporting does not establish their relationship status after that announcement.
