Irwin shared the news in an Instagram story and linked to audience tickets, PerthNow reported. That was a historical ticket mention, not confirmation that tickets are still available. A promotion for the episode teased that he would reveal “a new talent,” but the report did not identify what that talent was.
How did the appearance relate to I’m A Celebrity?
Irwin had been named co-host of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Julia Morris in October 2023. Paramount Australia and New Zealand’s announcement, dated 23 October 2023, said the show’s tenth season would return to 10 and 10 Play in 2024.

That appointment was distinct from the The Project guest spot: one was a co-host role on I’m A Celebrity, while the other was a one-night guest co-host booking. Irwin said of the I’m A Celebrity role: “It’s a huge honour to be the new co-host of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. I can’t wait to plunge back into the incredible African jungle and introduce our celebrities to the magnificent wildlife that call the jungle home.”

A separate report by The New Daily on 20 July 2026 said Irwin was confirmed as a co-host of the rebooted Australian Ninja Warrior when it is planned to return to Network Ten in 2027. The report named Georgie Tunny and Beau Ryan as his fellow co-hosts. That is later career news, not the gig described in PerthNow’s January 2024 headline.
