The Real Housewives of Atlanta later showed the hair-spa scene that prompted a 2024 suspension report: Kenya Moore displayed blurred explicit images during the event, and the episode’s closing card said the show had decided to stop filming with her for the season. The images’ identity, origin and authenticity have not been established by the cited reports.
What happened at Kenya Moore’s hair-spa opening?
The incident took place while The Real Housewives of Atlanta was filming the grand opening of Moore’s Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta. In a June 14, 2024 report, Entertainment Tonight said Moore had been suspended indefinitely from filming while the network reviewed what she displayed at the event. At that point, the account described an allegation under review—not a confirmed finding.
ET reported Moore’s denial and Brittany Eady’s response at the time. Moore said she had not distributed private images or solicited images belonging to others to threaten or blackmail anyone. That denial is her statement, not independent confirmation of how the images were obtained or what they showed.
What did the episode show?
Season 16 episode five, “About Last Night,” later aired the hair-spa scene. In its April 7, 2025 account, The Independent reported that Moore displayed a poster board headed “Who Is This Ho?” with explicit images blurred out. Moore said in the scene that she had obtained them with help from an investigator. The other women reacted negatively and left.

The Independent also transcribed Moore saying, “I’m gonna pay you dust.” At the episode’s end, a title card stated: “Based on Kenya’s behavior, the decision was made to cease filming with her this season.” That is what the card said; it does not independently establish the images’ provenance or authenticity.

The phrase “revenge porn” appeared in coverage and in Moore’s denial, but the cited reports do not establish a legal finding. The clearest distinction is between what was reported during the initial review and what viewers later saw described in the episode: the broadcast showed blurred images and included a title card connecting Moore’s behavior to the decision to cease filming with her for that season.
