Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition released on February 9, 2024—so “launches next week” is now historical wording. The bundle includes the Resident Evil 4 game, the Separate Ways scenario starring Ada Wong, and the Extra DLC Pack. It is listed for PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam; it is not compatible with Xbox One.
What’s included in Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition?
- Resident Evil 4: the base game.
- Separate Ways: an additional story told from Ada Wong’s perspective.
- Extra DLC Pack: bonus outfits, weapons, items, a soundtrack swap, and an expansion treasure map, as listed by the PlayStation Store.

When did Gold Edition release?
Capcom released Gold Edition on February 9, 2024. The phrase “next week” belongs to the original prelaunch announcement, not a current release notice.
Which platforms support it?
Official listings document Gold Edition for PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. Capcom specifically says it is not compatible with Xbox One. If buying on PlayStation in the United States, the listing says one digital purchase entitles the buyer to both PS4 and PS5 versions; check the terms shown in your own regional store.

What should you check before buying?
- Check what you already own. The base game and included add-ons can also be purchased separately. PlayStation warns buyers to avoid duplicate purchases, so compare your library with the bundle contents first.
- Confirm the platform. Xbox One is excluded; the documented Xbox version is for Xbox Series X|S.
- Check physical versus digital delivery. Capcom’s Japanese physical listing describes a game disc packaged with product codes for Separate Ways and the Extra DLC Pack. That is the packaging described for that Japan listing, not a guarantee about editions sold elsewhere. Review the package details in your region.
- Check your local price and stock. The US PlayStation Store displayed $49.99 when checked on October 8, 2026. A time-limited offer shown on the page had ended on September 24, 2026; it was not active on the check date. Prices and availability can change, so consult your local store.

How many copies has Resident Evil 4 sold?
Capcom reported that Resident Evil 4 had sold more than 7 million units worldwide as of December 31, 2023, in an announcement dated March 13, 2024. That figure is for Resident Evil 4 overall, not Gold Edition sales. Capcom’s sales announcement also includes a corporate statement about its commitment to stakeholders and game development; it is not a named individual’s comment or an assessment of Gold Edition’s quality.
