Which Rachel Green outfit sold?
The likely match is a gray, long-sleeved mohair turtleneck worn by Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in season 7, episode 16, “The One With The Truth About London.” Julien’s Auctions included it in its 2024 Friends 30th-anniversary auction. The lot description says it came with a costume tag and a certificate of authenticity issued by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Archives & Preservation Services.
How much did Rachel’s sweater sell for?
Julien’s reported a sale price of $6,500, well above its $1,000–$1,500 estimate. Artnet News independently reported the same realized price and estimate range in its September 25, 2024 auction coverage. These figures describe this individual lot, not a general price benchmark for television costumes.
Another Rachel Green costume sold separately
The $6,500 sweater should not be confused with a different Rachel Green costume sold by Heritage Auctions in March 2024 for $4,000. That season 9, episode 20 ensemble, from “The One with the Soap Opera Party,” comprised a sheer chiffon tunic with silver-patterned embroidery and a black velvet empire waist, black crushed-velvet culottes, and a short black cardigan. Heritage’s separate sale record identifies the three-piece outfit.
