Four particularly recognizable supporters of Queens Park Rangers (QPR) are musician Pete Doherty, comedian Bill Bailey, The Clash guitarist Mick Jones and broadcaster Louis Theroux. This is an unranked shortlist, not a definitive top four: the available source names notable fans but does not measure or compare their fame.
Why these four QPR supporters stand out
The examples below come from Tony Incenzo’s 7 October 2025 article, “Who Are The Most Famous QPR Fans?” in 888sport. Incenzo’s list is not presented as a ranking, and “most famous” has no objective measure here. The four are notable for different kinds of reported connection to the club.
Pete Doherty
The musician and songwriter has a visible link to QPR fan culture: Incenzo reports that Doherty regularly wears a replica hooped shirt and, when younger, edited and sold the club fanzine All Quiet on the Western Avenue.
Bill Bailey
Bailey has described how he came to support Rangers. As quoted by Incenzo, he said: “I’ve lived in West London since 1984 so it had to be Rangers.” Bailey also said that attending a match at Loftus Road hooked him on the club.

Mick Jones
Incenzo describes The Clash guitarist as a regular at Loftus Road, normally sitting in front of the press box. QPR plays “London Calling” over the stadium public-address system on matchdays, but that song is not evidence of Jones’s allegiance; the reported attendance is the relevant connection.
Louis Theroux
Incenzo reports that the broadcaster keeps a QPR scarf in his everyday bag, has spoken of affection for the club and has been seen at Loftus Road with his son.

Other public figures named as QPR fans
Incenzo’s article also lists Robin Askwith, Giles Coren, Michael Gove, Mark Halsey, Glen Matlock, Mary Nightingale, Hugh Pym, Andrew Ridgeley, Robert Smith and Seann Walsh. The same list quotes musician Glen Matlock saying his father and both grandfathers went to QPR, and that he began supporting the club in 1967.

There is no poll or comparative fame statistic behind this shortlist. The four are recognizable public figures with distinct reported ties: Doherty’s supporter-related activity, Bailey’s personal account of choosing Rangers, Jones’s reported regular attendance and Theroux’s expressed affection and match visits. Incenzo’s article supports calling them notable supporters, but not ranking them against one another or claiming they are the club’s only famous fans.
