The Princely House’s wedding communiqué records a nuptial Mass, music by local church ensembles, a gathering of family, friends and Liechtenstein officials, and a reception at Vaduz Castle. The House did not identify the designer of her gown.

Princess Marie Caroline, a member of Liechtenstein’s Princely House, married Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer on 30 August 2025. The couple’s engagement had been announced in October 2024, with the wedding then planned for late summer 2025. The Princely House’s engagement announcement introduced the couple and shared details of Marie Caroline’s education and work.
Where was the wedding, and what happened?
The church wedding took place at the Cathedral of Vaduz. Bishop Benno Elbs celebrated the nuptial Mass, with Father Martin Rauch SJ and Father Jozef Tarnowka SDS concelebrating. Music was provided by the St Florin Vaduz Church Choir together with Schola St Florin.
The Princely House said guests included the couple’s family and friends, the President and Vice-President of the Landtag, members of the Government, and Vaduz’s mayor. The official communiqué states: “Following the wedding, a reception was held at Vaduz Castle.” Its wedding announcement provides the ceremony details.

What is known about Princess Marie Caroline’s gown?
Royal Central’s account, published on 31 August 2025, described the gown as embroidered tulle and said no designer had been officially named at that time. The Princely House communiqué does not name the gown’s designer, a tiara, or jewelry. The fabric description is therefore a contemporary secondary-media report, not an official identification of the dress or its maker.
Marie Caroline’s fashion background
In its engagement biography, the Princely House said Marie Caroline studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris and New York and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design. At the time of the announcement, she lived in London and worked in the fashion industry.
