The Prince and Princess of Wales released their 2025 Christmas-card family portrait on social media on December 18, with the greeting: “Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas.” The photograph shows William and Catherine with their three children among daffodils.
What does the Wales family’s 2025 Christmas-card portrait show?
Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sit with their parents, Prince William and Catherine, on the grass amid daffodils. Sky News describes Charlotte resting her head on William’s shoulder, Louis leaning back against his chest, and Catherine with her arm around George.
When and where was the photograph taken?
ABC News and Sky News report that photographer Josh Shinner took the portrait in Norfolk in April 2025. Those dates distinguish the photo session from its release: the family shared the image on December 18.
Was it from the same session as the birthday portraits?
ITV and Sky News noted that the Christmas image appeared to come from the same photo session as portraits marking George’s 12th birthday and Louis’s seventh. That is the outlets’ observation, not a confirmed statement from Kensington Palace.
