Prime Target is an eight-episode conspiracy thriller about a mathematics postgraduate whose work on prime numbers draws the attention of an unseen enemy. The series premiered on Apple TV+ on January 22, 2025, and its finale was dated March 5, 2025.
What is Prime Target about?
Edward Brooks, played by Leo Woodall, is a postgraduate mathematician on the verge of a breakthrough involving prime numbers. When an unseen force tries to stop his work, he crosses paths with Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent played by Quintessa Swindell. Together, they investigate the threat and the conspiracy behind it.
Apple TV+ describes the fictional hook as the possibility that Edward could find a pattern in prime numbers and “hold the key to every computer in the world.” That is the thriller’s promotional premise, not an established claim about mathematics or computer security.
