PowerPlay Bibra Lake opened on 22 November 2022 as the operator’s second centre, following its Joondalup venue. The indoor electric-kart facility is at 7 Sobek Pass, Bibra Lake, and features a two-storey track with ramps, bridges and elevation changes.
When PowerPlay Bibra Lake opened
PerthNow reported the opening on 25 November 2022, three days after the venue began operating. At the time, the outlet described it as the southern suburbs’ first two-storey electric go-karting venue and PowerPlay’s second centre after Joondalup. Its report also said the Joondalup venue had recorded more than 150,000 racers and over 1.5 million laps. Where the venue is and what the track is like
The address is 7 Sobek Pass, Bibra Lake WA 6163, off North Lake Road. PowerPlay describes the venue’s indoor electric track as two storeys, with ramps and bridges. The venue page states that its karts have a capability of up to 70 km/h. PowerPlay’s FAQ clarifies that they do not travel that fast around the tracks; the stated figure is a capability, not the expected speed during a session.

Who can race, and what to wear
- Age and height: PowerPlay sets a minimum age of 10 and a minimum height of 140 cm. Its rules say anyone below the height requirement cannot race.
- Weight: The operator’s Race + Play page lists a limit of less than 120 kg. Check the venue’s current terms when booking.
- Shoes and clothing: Enclosed shoes are required, and loose clothing is not allowed.

The $4 balaclava mentioned in the 2022 opening coverage was the launch-era price. It is not the current listed price.

The operator says a session takes approximately 18–20 minutes in total, including the safety video, staff tuition and helmet fitting, with roughly 10 minutes on track. Racing rules and safety measures
PowerPlay says adult and junior races are generally separated because adult sessions can reach higher speeds. Adults and children from the same family can race together, according to the operator’s FAQ. It also says staff centrally control kart speeds and slow karts after an incident so an attendant can enter the track safely. Deliberate ramming is prohibited. PowerPlay FAQ

When checked on 7 October 2026, PowerPlay listed hours of 10am–9pm most days and 9am–9pm on Saturdays. The operator says the venue is closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Hours, session prices and entry rules can change, so confirm them on the official Bibra Lake page before travelling or booking.
