Paris Hilton’s 2015 move into celebrity mobile gaming was a licensing plan, not a confirmed game launch. Animoca Brands said it would begin with Hilton-branded virtual items and then develop fully branded apps, following the attention generated by Glu Mobile’s Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The available sources do not establish that Hilton’s planned items or app ever reached players.
What Paris Hilton’s deal actually promised
On March 3, 2015, GamesBeat reported that Animoca Brands had licensed Hilton’s name and likeness for mobile apps. The company outlined a phased approach: first offer Hilton-branded virtual items for in-game purchase, then move toward fully branded apps. GameSpot’s contemporaneous report likewise said the game’s genre had not yet been specified and described the virtual items as an initial step. These were plans, not confirmation of a release. (GamesBeat; GameSpot)
Animoca’s then-CEO Robby Yung described the partnership in promotional terms: “Paris Hilton is one of the world’s most recognized names, and we are thrilled to be able to collaborate with her on mobile gaming titles.” GamesBeat also quoted Yung saying the company expected consumers to welcome games and themes drawing on Hilton’s interest in trends. Those remarks express the company’s confidence, not independent evidence of audience demand. (GamesBeat)
How the Hilton announcement followed Kardashian’s game
Glu Mobile announced its partnership with Kim Kardashian on November 18, 2013. The company said its Toronto studio would develop a game in which Kardashian would mentor players with fashion tips and career advice, and it anticipated a late-spring 2014 release for iOS and Android. That was the schedule Glu announced, not by itself a verified launch date. (Glu Mobile announcement via ACN Newswire)

By 2014, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood had become a mobile hit, according to GamesBeat’s 2015 account. Hilton’s licensing announcement came amid wider interest in celebrity game deals; the timing supports describing her project as following a market trend, not as evidence that the two celebrities personally competed or that their projects achieved comparable results. Did a Paris Hilton mobile game come out?
The sources cited here do not verify a launch of the Hilton project described in 2015. That distinction matters: a licensing announcement and development roadmap are evidence of intent, not proof that a title was completed, released, or available to download. Hilton did have an earlier mobile-game precedent: Paris Hilton’s Diamond Quest, published by Gameloft in 2006, a separate project from the Animoca license. (GameSpot; WIRED)

Players with an installed copy could access it only until April 8, 2024; after that date it became inaccessible. (EA/Glu support notice)

GamesBeat reported in 2015 that Animoca Brands’ games had been downloaded more than 116 million times. That was a historical, company-wide figure reported at the time; it was not a download count for a Paris Hilton game and should not be read as a current total. The sources cited here do not provide comparable primary evidence for the two celebrity initiatives’ audiences or commercial performance, so a like-for-like success ranking is not supported.
