The headline price required careful reading: $6 covered two monthly billing periods at $3 each. It was not $6 per month, a six-month subscription, an annual plan, or a free trial. Applicable taxes could also apply.

The Showtime-inclusive option was the stronger value for viewers interested in Showtime originals and movies, downloads, and ad-free on-demand viewing. “Ad-free” did not necessarily mean that live television or live sports were free of advertising.
Paramount’s current branding calls the Showtime-inclusive plan Paramount+ Premium. The company’s current plan page lists Premium at $13.99 per month and describes it as including Showtime content. Plan names, prices, features, and availability can change.

A Paramount+ page has also displayed a separate two-month introductory offer priced at $0.99 per month with a June 25, 2026 end date. That was a different promotion and should not be presented as an active offer now.
What happened after the two promotional months?
The subscription was set to continue at the standard monthly price after the promotional period unless canceled. Anyone using the deal needed to check the renewal date in their account and cancel before the first post-promotion renewal if they did not want to continue paying the regular rate.
Cancellation timing and access after cancellation can depend on the renewal date, account setup, and signup platform. Canceling before the original public deadline was not the relevant safeguard; the important date was the renewal date shown for that individual subscription.

Which tier made more sense?
Choose Essential when:
- You wanted the lowest ongoing price.
- Ads were acceptable.
- Showtime content was not a priority.
- You mainly wanted Paramount+ originals or selected sports.
Choose the Showtime-inclusive tier when:
