The promotion did not include Paramount+’s ordinary monthly free trial. Separate trial terms for some annual-plan offers should not be confused with the Cyber Monday discount.
Why Premium was the better value during the promotion
Under the 2025 deal, the two plans had identical introductory pricing. That made Premium the obvious choice for viewers who wanted its additional features and were prepared to cancel or accept the regular renewal price after two months.

Essential vs. Premium: which current plan makes sense?
Choose Essential if you want the lowest regular price
Essential is the lower-cost option for viewers who mainly want Paramount+’s on-demand library and can tolerate advertising. It includes a broad selection of Paramount+ content and selected sports and SHOWTIME programming, but it does not include the full Premium feature set.
Essential is usually the more sensible choice if you do not need downloads, local CBS streaming, 4K or HDR playback, or the complete SHOWTIME catalog.

Do not assume that a previous Cyber Monday price will automatically return. Streaming services regularly change promotional rates and may restrict discounts to new or former customers, direct subscriptions, particular billing platforms, or selected countries.

Walmart+ Paramount+ benefit

This route is most useful for people who already value Walmart+ delivery and shopping benefits. Check the eligibility and activation instructions in the Walmart+ account before making changes; canceling a subscription does not necessarily produce an immediate refund.
Compare the full Walmart+ membership cost with the standalone service. The benefit is not automatically the cheapest option if you do not want Walmart’s other features.
Paramount+ gift cards
Paramount+ gift cards are another legitimate option for people who prefer prepaid subscription credit or want to give the service as a present. Paramount supports gift cards in the United States through its own redemption process and authorized sellers.

- Identify where the subscription was purchased: directly from Paramount+, through an app store, through Prime Video Channels, or through another partner.
- Open the account’s subscription or billing settings on that same platform.
- Check the next billing date and the renewal price.
- Cancel before the renewal date if you no longer want the service.
- Save the cancellation confirmation and check that the account shows an end date or canceled status.
Deleting the Paramount+ app does not cancel a subscription. The cancellation method depends on the company that bills you.
