Pamela Anderson sold her Malibu Colony home for $11.8 million in August 2021 and later focused on restoring a family property in Ladysmith, on Vancouver Island. The Canadian Press reported in 2022 that the six-acre property included a roadhouse, boathouse and cabin. Anderson described it as a place in need of care, but the available reporting does not establish that it was literally abandoned.
What happened to Pamela Anderson’s Malibu home?
Anderson bought the Malibu property for $1.8 million in 2000, according to the Los Angeles Times. It was offered for sale in 2013 at $7.75 million and later advertised for rent at $40,000 a month. In March 2021, she listed it for $14.9 million; the home sold that August for $11.8 million, as reported by the Los Angeles Times and Architectural Digest.
The home was a coastal property with beach access and outdoor amenities. The Los Angeles Times described wood-and-glass construction, a garden, fire pit, sauna, pool, floating staircases and guesthouse, and gave a 5,500-square-foot floor-plan figure. Architectural Digest described 5,500 square feet across the main house and guesthouse on a 6,324-square-foot site. Those figures use different descriptions of scope, so they should not be treated as a like-for-like measurement of the main house alone.
Architectural Digest reported Anderson’s remarks to PEOPLE when the home was listed: “It’s time I went back to my roots,” and, “I’m creating my life here now again where it all started. It’s been a wild ride, now full circle.”

Where is the British Columbia property?
The restoration story centers on a family property in Ladysmith, a community on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. In a November 2022 interview with The Canadian Press, Anderson said she had bought the property from her grandmother about 30 years earlier. The report described six acres containing a roadhouse, boathouse and cabin. Anderson said she hoped to make it a multi-generational home for her parents and sons.
The Canadian Press reported that Anderson had a $750,000 renovation budget at the time of that interview and a 460-square-metre garden. Those are details from the 2022 account, not confirmation of the eventual project cost or the garden’s present condition.

Was Pamela Anderson’s Vancouver Island house abandoned?
“Abandoned” is not established by the available reporting. The Canadian Press described a property being restored and quoted Anderson calling it “like a broken heart, which I really had to kind of turn around.” That metaphor conveys her feelings about the place and the work ahead; it is not proof that the buildings had been legally or literally abandoned.
Anderson also acknowledged that renovations brought setbacks: “Some ideas are really bad and some ideas don’t work and some things I’ve refinished and fixed and I waste a lot of money in solving those problems.” The 2022 account supports describing an ambitious restoration with costly missteps, not a completed renovation or a verified current condition.

How do the two homes differ?
| Feature | Malibu Colony home | Ladysmith family property |
|---|---|---|
| Role and history | Coastal home Anderson bought in 2000 and sold in 2021, according to the Los Angeles Times and Architectural Digest. | Family-rooted property Anderson said she bought from her grandmother decades before her 2022 interview, according to The Canadian Press. |
| Scale and components | Wood-and-glass home, guesthouse and outdoor amenities; published floor-area descriptions differ in scope. | Six acres with a roadhouse, boathouse and cabin, as described by The Canadian Press in 2022. |
| Status established by cited reporting | Sold for $11.8 million in August 2021, according to the Los Angeles Times and Architectural Digest. | Under restoration in The Canadian Press’s November 2022 account; later completion and occupancy are not established by the cited reporting. |
The contrast is less a simple move from luxury to neglect than a change in purpose: a Malibu property associated with coastal living and entertainment gave way to a family-linked restoration intended to bring generations together. The reporting does not establish Anderson’s exact residence, the property’s ownership, or its renovation status in 2026. Netflix Tudum’s profile says she lives in her childhood home in Ladysmith between projects, but that does not verify the condition or status of the specific buildings described in the 2022 restoration report: Netflix Tudum.

The Canadian Press reported that Pamela’s Garden of Eden premiered in 2022 and followed the property restoration. That makes the series a window into the project at that time, not a current inspection or proof that the work is complete. The 2022 report’s references to HGTV Canada and StackTV describe historical distribution; they do not establish present-day availability.

Best Value
- Durable Construction: Made from 1/8" Max-Metal, an aluminum composite material (ACM) with a polyethylene core and white-coated aluminum skins on each face — won't rot, warp, or fade like wood.
- Long Horizontal Size: Measures 15 × 5 inches — a 3:1 horizontal shape that fits above doorways, mantels, gallery walls, and narrow spaces where square signs feel cramped.
- UV-Printed Graphic — Not a Real Enamel, Linen, or Paper Sign: The artwork is a high-resolution UV-printed image on a smooth white aluminum face. It looks like a vintage porcelain-enamel sign, a linen travel postcard, or an old WPA travel poster from across the room but is actually a printed graphic — no rust, no chips, no paper to yellow or tear. UV ink is scratch- and fade-resistant for long-lasting color.
- Easy to Hang: Pre-drilled 3/16" mounting holes on each end for quick installation with screws, bolts, or zip ties (hardware not included).
- Proudly Made in the USA: Crafted by our family-owned business in Brownsburg, Indiana — supporting local manufacturing.
